THE MUSIC BOX

The Music Box is an innovative mixed-use building located in Southwark, London. The structure comprises 13 storeys, featuring retail spaces and a music hall on the lower floors, with residential apartments and penthouses on the upper levels. Developed in collaboration with GPC Consultants, the project creates a unique landmark for Southwark, seamlessly integrating inspirational architecture with outstanding interiors. The lower levels are shared with the London Centre of Contemporary Music, establishing a vibrant cultural hub. This development includes 41 apartments, each meticulously designed with attention to detail, incorporating elements that reflect its musical inspiration. The façade features white textured spines, while hints of musical notes elegantly run along the base, enhancing the artistic character of the building.

From the outset, The Music Box was conceived as a model of energy efficiency and sustainable design. The exterior detailing and thoughtful selection of materials contribute to its performance, emphasizing environmental responsibility while creating a striking visual identity. JEPA, in collaboration with GPC Consultants, was involved in the detailed MEP design, ensuring that all installations met high sustainability standards and reinforcing The Music Box as an exemplary representation of modern urban living and cultural expression in Southwark.
